Overview of Lac Tinh Vien
Founded in 1889 by poet Hong Khang, Lac Tinh Garden House covers more than 2,000m² with a lush and peaceful landscape. Along the entrance, rows of hibiscus, roses, laurels, and apricots bloom in harmony, guiding visitors into a tranquil world. Small tables and chairs shaded by ancient trees invite guests to sip tea and contemplate the scenery.
At the end of the entrance, a stylized book-shaped screen leads to the complex of four adjacent houses, connected by a unique hexagonal structure. Each house has its own name and meaning:
- Nhan Hau House (House of Kindness): A spacious reception house, surrounded by bonsai and flowers, used for welcoming guests and charitable activities.
- Hy Tran Trai House: The central residence, decorated with parallel sentences and supported by 59 wooden pillars. Its rafters are exquisitely carved with images of dragons, four seasons, and symbolic trees.
- Van Trai House: A tranquil place for work and relaxation.
- Di Tam Thich The Duong House: A space dedicated to children’s studies.
Every corner reflects refinement – from furniture to ornaments – evoking Hue’s timeless grace, soft voices, and poetic souls. In 2007, Lac Tinh Garden House was recognized as a Provincial Relic of Art Architecture.
